There are no gloves like women's fine leather or lambskin gloves. No other glove so soft, supple or stylish. Every woman should have at least one pair in her winter wardrobe to go along with her dress wool coat. You can't wear a wool coat to a dressy event with knit gloves. Leather gloves give a polished finish to a dressy look. I have bought myself several pairs of lambskin gloves over they years and I've also found that every woman friend I've given a pair to as a gift loves them.
There are many places you can find women's fine leather gloves online. Look at stores like Nordstrom or Macy's. Nordstrom has a lovely selection of cashmere lined leather gloves in a variety of lengths and colors. Their classic gloves, or gloves that hit at the wrist run $68 a pair. They also have a 21" Opera length leather glove for $148 a pair. Lord & Taylor also carry a line of silk lined leather gloves.
If you do a search online for womens leather gloves you'll find lengths that are classic, "4 button" length, "6 button" length and "8 button" length. You can also find longer "12 button" and "16 button" length. You'll find a wide selection of lined and unlined leather gloves. Some of the linings offered are silk, cashmere, and rabbit. Some leather gloves come with accents like small Swarovski crystal buckles and fur cuffs.
Some people swear that there is no leather as soft as Italian lambskin leather. Look for fine Italian lambskin leather gloves by Fratelli Orsini. Fratelli Orsini also has a very stylish womens Italian silk lined leather glove with contrast stitching. These leather gloves are sleek and fashionable.
Forzieri has a wide selection of women's unlined and lined leather gloves. These stylish Italian leather gloves come in colors of purple, pink, fuchsia, yellow sky blue and green just to mention a few. Wilsons Leather offers women's sheepskin gloves with a polyester lining and Thinsulate insulation. These gloves appear to be a bit bulky looking. They have very reasonably priced cashmere lined gloves that run $38 if you can find them on sale.
Some people may feel that it's a waste of money to spend $70 or more for a pair of fine kidskin or Italian Nappa leather gloves. I have had two pair now for going on six years. They're in beautiful condition. All I do is at the end of each year rub a bit of leather conditioner and cleaner into them. It cleans them, helps keep them soft and subtle and helps prevent staining. They are a very good investment and very easy care.
