Want Warmth As Well As Fashion? Choose A Pashmina Scarf

Women's Winter Scarves

So how does a fashionista get herself through what can be drab, dreary and cold days during the winter? How can she dress up her winter wardrobe?  With scarves of course!  One day she can wear a pashmina scarf in a vivid cranberry red, the next in a sunny yellow.  Having fun with womens' hats and women's winter scarves is one way to add a burst of color to a boring black or brown winter coat.

Pashmina scarves hit the American market about ten years ago and haven't lost popularity.  Pashmina is a specific wool obtained from goats in the Himalayan region. These Pashmina scarves are exceptionally soft, like cashmere and were and still are a welcome relief from the itchy wool scarves of the past. Pashmina scarves come in an outstanding variety of vibrant colors.  Many women have between 3 and 10 different colors of Pashmina scarves to choose from as they aren't only welcome in the winter but all year long. In the warmer weather Pashmina shawls are the perfect accessory to any outfit.

Another way to be warm this winter is with a shearling scarf from Australian manufacturer Uggs. Or the Fox Unlimited Rabbit Fur Scarf available at Bloomingdales. Either of these scarves would be exceptionally soft and warm, and a much appreciated gift! Many stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Macy's sell their own line of fashionable cashmere mufflers and scarves. You'll be able to find a wide variety of colors and patterns. The fine line of Portolano scarves, hat, gloves and scarf sets and knits can be ordered on line. They are known for quality leather and knitted products.

What if you're looking for real warmth?  One of our favorite finds has been from the Vermont Country Store. It's called the Jaunty Wool Scarf Hat. It's a 100% wool felt hat that is attached to a soft acrylic knit scarf that covers the ears and neck and ties under the chin. It's guaranteed to keep you warm and you'll never have to worry about losing your hat, even in the strongest of northern winds.

You don't have to shop online or in big department stores in order to find women's winter scarves.  Next time you're nearby a Kohl's take a look, or Target or Marshall's. They always have a changing stock so you're sure to easily find one you like.

Of course one of the loveliest and softest of scarves would have to unquestionably be mink or fox. These can, as you would imagine not be inexpensive.  A fox scarf would cost approximately $225 for a 54" scarf and amink scarf would cost approximately $395 for a 60" scarf.
